Venture inland just a short distance and experience
eucalypt forests, dry creek beds and cattle stations.
Just a little further and you will find the historic mining town of Collinsville. Abbot Point Bulk Coal facility is located 30kms north of Bowen. This export ship loading facility is not accessible to the public but the 3km long jetty can be seen from many venues around Bowen.
